St Helier redevelopment
THE £219M redevelopment of St Helier Hospital in Surrey involves demolishing almost a third of the current site and replacing it with a new building that will house the majority of the hospital’s wards and clinics. In addition, £40m of improvements will be made to the rest of the hospital site.
The team of surveyors, led by Drivers Jonas Deloitte, are drawing up detailed plans for the upgrade work. The scheme will include 346 beds, half of which will be single rooms; a £17m local care centre; a purpose-built outpatients department; a new pharmacy department and a centralised eye clinic. There will also be a multi-decked car park and improvements to hospital entrances/exits.
