Tarkett Lino: natural, versatile and sustainable

In another endeavour to help support the NHS decarbonise their built environment, Tarkett is pioneering the way with one of the most versatile and sustainable flooring solutions available in the market – linoleum

Grounded in over 150 years of craftsmanship, Tarkett lino is made in Narni, Italy, using natural and renewable ingredients including linseed oil, pine resin, jute, sawdust, cork dust, and abundant mineral resources like calcium carbonate.  Linoleum is a bio-based product and an inherently sustainable material. Our Cradle to Cradle Certified® approach ensures the design of our products positively contribute to the environment and people’s well-being at each step of the product’s life, while supporting the transition to a circular economy.

Lino Loose-Lay: the first ever adhesive-free lino solution

Tarkett Lino Loose-Lay is the natural, bio-based choice for healthcare facilities that require quick and easy glue-free installation. It offers the same assurance to perform like a glue down product whilst being suitable for a variety of existing subfloors, including those that may be damp  – making it a perfect solution for renovations that require a fast turnaround.

Lino Loose-Lay is extremely robust due to its xf² surface treatment which provides high resistance to abrasion and chemicals, and never requires wax or polish. It will withstand the rigorous cleaning regime needed of a healthcare environment, and the surface treatment also makes cleaning easier and more effective for staff, whilst minimising the environmental impact of your healthcare facility.

In addition to its environmental aspects, Lino Loose-Lay was designed to be installed in a large variety of applications, mainly where resistance to high traffic and hygiene is required in common areas such as healthcare receptions, corridors or waiting rooms.

Tarkett’s commitment:

Tarkett is dedicated to creating flooring solutions that are not only safe for people's health and well-being, but also better for the planet. We make careful choices when designing our flooring by using the right materials and processes to reduce carbon emissions and improve recyclability.

Utilising the Cradle to Cradle® approach, we ensure that we can recycle and reuse materials in future production, reducing waste and preserving natural resources. With this method, you can be confident in the health and environmental performance of your chosen flooring products.
