Elevating the UK’s fitness levels

Elevate is the UK’s largest trade show dedicated to physical activity, fitness, and sport therapy.

Over two full days at the ExCeL in London from 15-16 June, 8,000-plus decision makers from gyms, studios, sport clubs, sports therapy practices, universities, personal training, schools, and private practice will meet over 250 leading suppliers, showcasing thousands of product innovations specially designed to ‘elevate’ the UK’s physical activity levels.

Elevate 2022 will also offer unrivalled networking opportunities and deliver unparalleled learning from over 200 expert speakers.

Lucy Findlay, event director, said: “Face-to-face interactions are so often fundamental to business relationships, development, and innovation and we've all been deprived of those during lockdowns and restrictions.

New technology

“The rapidly-developing technology and the new innovations we have seen over the past two years from hundreds of leading suppliers makes Elevate 2022 the must-attend event for those who want to reconnect, celebrate resilience, and look forward to a future full of exciting new opportunities.”

Thoroughly researched and independently developed, the Elevate 2022 speaker programme remains the largest live learning opportunity for the fitness industry and physical activity sector.

This year, one conference theatre, five seminar theatres, and five workshops will host over 200 speakers sharing the very-latest insights in fitness, sports therapy, and physical activity.

Each designated theatre targets a different subject matter – whether you want to explore how to get more people active, learn from the latest trends and technology to build your business, discover the latest from wellbeing and nutrition, hear how elite athletes find that 1% improvement, or see the best practise and science from sports therapy.

This year the keynote opening address will be given by Tim Hollingsworth of Sport England, with other speakers including Steve Ward from GLL, Phil Coxon from Mindbody, Ian Turley and Anthony Crozier from Future Fit, Annie Holden from Active Partnerships, Steve Scales from ukactive, and Chris Scragg from Nuffield Health.

Focus on sustainability

There will also be a focus on sustainability at this year’s event, with Elevate’s sustainability partner, SPACE & PLACE.

And to make the event itself more sustainable Elevate is replacing the traditional printed event guide with an app, provided by Innovatise, the company behind myFitApp, and exhibitors and venue bosses are being encouraged to be more sustainable.

Organisers will also no longer provide lanyards or plastic badge covers, and all non-essential carpet is being removed.

In the show hall, Elevate 2022 will feature over 250 exhibitors, showcasing thousands of products, with highlights including the Keiser Functional Trainer, a new fitness machine that tests the power of users; the Jordan Fusion HIIT Bench, which offers a 3-in-1 multi-functional training station; and Indigo Fitness’s world[1]class interactive gym experience.
