Leeds trust announces tender shortlist for new hospital developments

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust names its preferred design teams

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has announced the shortlisted candidates to proceed to the second stage of the tender processes for architects and design teams to work on its new hospital development project.

The trust now has the funding and planning approvals in place to design and build a state-of-the-art hospital for adult healthcare and a purpose-built new home for Leeds Children’s Hospital (LCH).

Known as Hospitals of the Future, this is a major development of more than 94,000sq m in the heart of the city.

Hospitals of the Future is one of six projects to receive a share of £2.7billion funding in the first wave of the UK Government’s Health Infrastructure Plan, a national programme of healthcare capital investment.

The trust is working to a scheme cost of £600m.
