Luxury home will be home to 66 residents
A new care home has opened in Norwich offering residential, dementia, and respite care for residents.
Broadlands Lodge, operated by Danforth Care Homes, has opened its doors for 66 residents, delivering care in state-of-the-art facilities.
Located near picturesque Elm Hill, the home has been designed with residents’ lifestyles in mind, with opportunities to embrace the sensory garden, onsite beauty and hair salon, cinema, library, and coffee shops.
“We’ve designed the home to be a comfortable and safe space for residents to live their lives, enjoying everyday activities such as going to a coffee shop or getting a book out of the library,” said Sotak Robinson, care manager at Broadlands Lodge.
Each of the rooms at the home has en-suite wetroom facilities, along with smart TVs and mini fridges.
Robinson said: “We cater for each resident’s individual needs, while offering a space which encourages independence and a home-like atmosphere.
“We also welcome residents’ families to join them regularly in meals or trips to the onsite coffee shops and cinema rooms, so they can continue living their lives to the fullest.”
Danforth Care Home Group aims to open 15 more homes across the country in the next 15 months.
And the company is at the forefront of innovation when it comes to energy-saving construction as it is on a path to zero-carbon consumption and self generation of power, with homes fitted with solar panels.
